About the Process

What Is Polymer Clay?

Polymer clay is a synthetic, plastic-based modeling clay that hardens into a lightweight, durable plastic-like material when cured. It can be baked in a home oven at a low temperature unlike natural clay which needs a high-heat kiln or air-dry clay that simply dry out. Once cured, it is non-toxic and retains intricate details making it perfect for handcrafted jewelry like earrings.

Polymer clay allows me to create small-batch, thoughtfully designed jewelry—so you’re getting something special, not mass-produced. Because polymer clay is mixed and shaped by hand, no two pieces are exactly the same. Color fades, marbling, and textures are truly one-of-a-kind. Each piece is carefully shaped, baked, sanded, and finished by hand.

Advantages of Polymer Clay

Polymer clay is feather-light, so you can wear statement earrings all day without sore ears.

Durable & Long-Lasting
Once baked, polymer clay is surprisingly strong and holds up well to everyday wear.

Perfect for Sensitive Ears
When paired with hypoallergenic stainless steel or gold-plated stainless steel posts, polymer clay earrings are a great option for sensitive ears.
